    Oh my! Talk about a great pizza joint! Tony Sacco's knows what they're doing. We came with a party of just over 20 people for a high school graduation party and from the minute we walked in the staff was phenomenal! But it's the food that makes this place THE pizza place in Ann Arbor! Breadsticks were the best I've ever had. Their Ceasar and antipasto salads were excellent and their pizza... WOW! Out of this world. Check it out, you won't regret it.

    Waste of a coal-fired oven. Pizza was not cooked properly and was topped with way too much cheese. Owner was walking around looking for compliments, asking everybody "are we your new favorite pizza place". He then asked us how the service was and if he needed to take 'em in the back and beat them. Very unprofessional. The service was actually quite good...only thing keeping this review from being a one.

    Terrific pizza: great thin crust, perfect amount of fresh store-made sauce, and lots of fresh basil. Nice atmosphere, if a little too casual. Lose some of the TVs so there's a little more choice, but there is a small outdoor seating area. I'll be going back for more!

    Went here after a meeting in AA. I tried to remember places to go since I haven't worked in that area in a while. We stumbled on this restaurant. We kept it simple by ordering just a pepperoni pizza. Very good thin crust coal oven taste. We really enjoyed it. The service was fast and friendly. The bathrooms clean. The prices were fairly reasonable. This is a place for me to remember when I'm back in A squared.

    I've given them a few more chances, but we just never hit it off. Food is 3-stars, though I find it odd they still can't make a crispy crust - the options are apparently either "soggy" or "burnt." Salads are good. Service is spotty. Most servers are friendly and helpful, but not always. And the atmosphere just feels like an upscale Cici's. #1 reason for a 1-star review? The management. And bartender. (Well, once he told me he was the owner, last time the manager). Anyway, the chubby guy with the perennial shorts is simply a dufus when it comes to service. On my last/final visit, both he and the bartender gave one server hell for helping us - when no one else did!!! He was so unconcerned with anything happening in the restaurant, he failed to notice all the cascading issues that were ruining many meals. Once we got his attention, he was argumentative and treated us as unwelcome guests. His language and demeanor were worse than I would expect at the aforementioned Cici's. And, as I showed him, our pizza was both black on the bottom AND soggy/raw at the same time. He did not offer to remake it, refund it, or... well do anything. Two years to work out the bugs and you haven't. No wonder you have to offer so many promotions to try and bring people in (or back). My money deserves better. p.s. if you do go, try to get a table that doesn't wobble.

    This is great pizza. We had a hard time deciding, but ended up ordered margherita and capo personal pizzas. First recommendation - one personal pizza is not enough (either that, or I'm fat, or both?). Margherita pizza - As you may know, it's a pizza with tomato sauce with fresh mozzarella cheese and basil. At Tony Sacco's they add fresh basil (and olive oil) to all their pizzas after it is baked. This was an excellent pizza despite not having any meat! Nice fresh taste and good proportion of sauce, dough and cheese. Nothing was too overwhelming. Capo pizza - Tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, roasted onions & roasted mushrooms. Although this had meat, I think I liked the margherita pizza more. Not to say this wasn't good because it is. The only (very slight) downside to this is that I thought the sausages were a tad bit salty. Other than that, it was a great pizza. Wanted to try the strawberry shortcake dessert, but apparently (according to our server) they don't "have dessert." I was confused since it was on their menu, but oh well. Service was kind of lacking despite a not-so-busy time. TIP: Could see this as a possible venue for watching major sporting events, especially with the bar they have on the side. Only drawback though is that service might limit the experience.

    Second visit - I had the Sacco Club - it was a perfect sandwich. Very favorable. Excellent chicken breast and nicely seasoned. The toasted bread was also great. Added marinara sauce and it was a hit. The pasta side was terrific - not just an addition to fill a plate but very surprising and good. We will be back and back - I am not sure others ratings but I clearly give it 5 stars. oh also great service!

    Great food and service. Been to NY many times and know good coal oven pizza. For those questioning how well done, it is common to request well done if needed for coal oven. Purpose of the coal oven is keep ingredients fresh while heating the dough. Great selection of beers, including craft and local for those looking for more unique selection.     My fiancé and I frequent this location on a regular basis. I have yet to have anything that is less than stellar. We had a group of 16 planned for the night of the UofM State game and not only did they save a spot for us Lynda gave us some of the best service I've ever seen with a rowdy group that big. I'd recommend this place for anyone that has a pulse.

    I've been here twice and my friend and I love their pizzas. If you're a fan of thin, crispy oven-baked pizzas with simple ingredients, this is a great place to try out. The ones with fresh (soft) mozzarella is especially good. However, we were not so impressed by their wings. This review is just for the pizzas. Now they have a happy hour for summer -- it was exciting to try their wine and beer as well.

    I have eaten here twice now. The 1st was a dine-in experience and I ordered the Pollo di Forno sandwich. It was served with a coal-oven fired flat bread and a side salad. It was great. I raved about it to all my friends and fam. The service was good...quick and pleasant. However, I returned again today, this time having placed a carry-out order over the phone. I ordered not only the same Pollo di Forno sandwich but also a veggie personal pizza. When I returned home I was surprised and saddened at what I found. The sandwich was served on plan old sub bread and the salad has been nixed and replaced with a mushy pasta salad that tasted really bad. The pizza is nothing like N.Y. city coal oven pizza. I have been to N.Y.C. and eaten their pizza. The pizza at Tony's had a mushy pizza crust underneath. I'm surprised....maybe they need to fix the temp on the oven. I called the manager and he said corporate made them change the menu and that is what they were serving now. He had an "I don't give a shit if you liked it or not" attitude and informed me that if I didn't like it to call corporate in FL. Which I did. They confirmed that this is the stuff they are serving at the same price point as before. I don't think this place will stay in business in A2 for very long. Considering all the other good pizza places around. Even Whole Foods grocery store is right next door and they serve freshly made pizza that is sadly better then this pizza. Maybe if they get enough feedback they will change their menu back and fix the pizza in time to save their restaurant.

    I was pleasantly surprised! We had never been to Tony Sacco's before but were looking for a casual place to meet with family (10-13 people) to have pizza and celebrate my son's birthday. I emailed the restaurant 2 days before our planned meeting just to double check if it was ok if we brought our own cake and I received an email back within an hour! When we arrived to the restaurant on the day, they had a table set up to accommodate us all, and birthday balloons decorating the table!! I was so surprised by the balloons! The waitress was so attentive during our stay. She got drinks as family members arrived to the restaurant (took 10-15 minutes to arrive). They also were helpful with clearing pizza plates and then providing us with clean plates, forks and a knife so we could enjoy the cake. If that wasn't enough, they gave us the balloons for my son to take home (a 5 year old's dream). I had assumed that they had several parties and would need them for later but, nope, I was wrong. I should add that the pizza came out fresh and had good flavor (my husband would have preferred more flavor but I was happy with the pizza). We'll definitely be returning to Tony Sacco's for future family gatherings.

    I was very pleasantly surprised by the great service we received from this new establishment. Very good location near the mall which is a plus. We were able to try some of there tapped beers before picking one which was very appreciative. I went with the Blondie and it was very delightful. The garlic rolls were simply amazing and the ham and pineapple pizza was to die for. This establishment is very business professional friendly and will be doing very many business lunches at this location. I was very happy to have found this hidden gem! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

    The pizza is great, the salads are huge BUT the service is so bad that it cannot be forgiven. The cooks spend more time outside smoking than they do in the kitchen. There is only ever ONE server working. No matter how many guests there, ONE server handles them all! Even when we are the only people in the place, the service is awful!!! If you want good pizza, definitely call them, order a carry out and keep your life moving, because if you sit here waiting for your food, your life will come to a screeching halt!!! SO BAD

    I gave Tony Sacco's in Canton 5 stars. I was very disappointed in this location. To start we ordered Sangria. The menu said Fresh fruit sangria. It tasted and looked like cheap bottled sangria. We asked the waitress where the fresh fruit was and she said she would have to go ask the bartender who then said they only have limes and lemons. The glasses were filled with ice to the top giving you a very small amount of wine. (Old bartender trick of saving money) The waitress was clueless about every thing. The bread was a 5. The pizza a 4. We had several kinds all were pretty good. Would I go to this location again? NO. I'll stick with canton even if it is out of my way. The service is much better in Canton.

    The poster hours until 10 o'clock on Thursday night so I call at 9:20 after planning a late pizza with a friend who work till nine. The girl who answered the phone informed me they decided to close early because it was slow. That's just not right when you post your open till 10 if it's slow you let someone leave you don't just close. Both my friend and myself were very upset and we will not be giving them any business in the future not to mention all of our friends and acquaintances we will be telling about our experience too. There are too many other good pizza places around to have to deal with this.

    Been twice and like it. Pizza is pretty darn tasty in this New Yorker's opinion and they have great options. The salads are crisp, fresh and never wet and the pizza has a good crust and enough toppings without ever being too much. Why the three? Because it's just okay. The two glaring problems are the portions for salads and the service. I ordered a half salad which came at a reasonable price but was gigantic. What a waste of food. A salad isn't going to keep well, kids, so pare down the portion rather than be so wasteful. Or maybe tell me BEFORE I solidify my order that a half order can easily be split between two people. With some hummus and bread that's a full meal. Service is lacking. Both times I've had to deal with inattentive, ditzy (both genders), forgetful servers. It's not that hard to write down an order and yet they insist on memorizing and then you know what? They forget or mess something up. And I'm not talking special orders. Still, the food is well prepared and tasty so I will keep coming.

    We had a great experience here, although I don't love their location. The pizza and beer were excellent. The service was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the leftovers. If you have a big group, this would be a good place to come, as long as you are okay that it is in a strip mall parking lot. There is a ton of space here... great for a sports team or a birthday party!

    The staff at this location did an amazing job accommodating a large group catering situation on very short notice. I personally thought the pizza and appetizers were fantastic, but my clients were raving about the calzones, sandwiches, and wraps all afternoon. Astounding quality. About 20 minutes after the meeting started, the manager Chris gives me a call and realizes that they forgot to include some of the items we ordered, so he personally delivers them to our meeting 7 miles away himself (with a heavy apology)! With the type of service that they offer, and the fantastic food that I'm sure they serve all the time, I would highly recommend having lunch, dinner, or having the team cater your next event.

    Well.... If it wasn't a Thursday (half off the pizzas) I would give this place two stars. Average to cheap ingredients, bland dough, cheap greasy cheese. It would be way overprice at the normal prices. Also for a place that advertises "pizza that take less than four minutes to cook", it shouldn't take 45 minutes to get our food.

    I wasn't expecting to like Tony Sacco's as much as I do. Location leaves something to be desired. I've been back numerous times. Very fresh ingredients. Love the breadsticks, pizzas, and wraps. The salads are huge! I've heard people say they don't like the char on the crust. But that's coal oven pizza for you! I love it! Delicious. Great beers on tap too, not boring typical beer. It's fun, especially for the kids, to watch them make the food.

    I was pleasantly surprised to find a location in Ann Arbor to eat at (my first experience was in Lansing) and even more pleasantly surprised when I found out Thursdays were 1/2 off pizzas (dine-in only). We ordered the Napoli and the Marco Polo - large sizes for both and the bill came out to be under 20$. The Napoli was delicious - a TON of cheese and the sausage was a great touch of salt. The Marco Polo, on the other hand, had pretty dry chicken on it and the sun-dried tomatoes weren't even disperse which made the pizza interesting to eat at times. The wait staff is very attentive and intentional when it comes to refilling the water so I really appreciated it. We've gotten the Garlic rolls before (skipped it this time since we were ordering 2 larges) and those have ALWAYS been so tasty especially when you swirl the rolls in the pool of olive oil and cheese mixture on the bottom of the serving dish. Happy Hour specials include 5$ apps and marked down drinks.

    Took The family there for some good old fashion Italian Pizza. You have to try there "CAPO" Pizza special. It was absolutely the best. Drove 23+ miles from Livonia to get there and was not disappointed. Great food, Fast service and Neat atmosphere. My compliment to the manager Pat and our waitress Brianna . We will be back! All the sports TV was another plus.

    Huge wait for the food! Overall the pizza was ok. The dough a little bland and the tomato sauce seemed cheap and had no spices. Went here on a Thursday where pizza's are half off so it compensated a little. Might come back on another Thursday. Also, don't get a personal size, it is comically small.

    For a chain, I think Tony Sacco's is surprisingly good, and a good value. I'm always surprised that it's not busier than it is, especially given its suburban location. This is the kind of place where a family can go for pizza, but dad can have a craft beer and mom can have a decent glass of wine. I've only tried the salads and the pizzas, but they do have a large list of sandwiches on the menu as well. They have a full bar with craft beers and a small wine list that is serviceable if not terribly interesting. The reason to go is the pizza, naturally. Since the pies are cooked at such a high temperature in a coal-fired oven, raw vegetables would not have time to cook, so all of the veggies (onions, mushrooms, peppers) are pre-roasted and super flavorful, which I love. Every time I've had it, the crust has always been the perfect blend of crispy, chewy and perfectly blackened in just a few places. If you love salad, this is also the place for you, because the portions are gargantuan. The "small" supposedly feeds 1-2 people, but is enough for 2 people to have two servings each. I've had the ceasar (boring - just unrelieved lettuce without even the benefit of croutons) but would recommend the Insalata di Casa, which has a nice variety of tomatoes, perfectly cooked hardboiled eggs, red onions, garbanzo beans and olives. The salads are downright inexpensive at $5-6 for a small and $8-9 for a large. The interior is a bit funny - the bar and its TVs dominate, and yet the atmosphere is not really conducive to drinking. It strikes me as a "family" restaurant, whatever that means, and not the place to go for cocktails.

    I have eaten here as well as gotten take out several times. I find the pizza to be unique and tasty. I am a big fan of the Margherita pizza with fresh basil. Clearly, if you can eat in the restaurant and have it served fresh out of the coal oven it is the best. But for takeout it is pretty good heated up in your oven. I also regularly get the Capo pizza with pepperoni, sausage and onions. I love that they put basil on all of the pizzas and have the garlic powder at the table just like they do in NYC. The crust is amazing with good flavor and is stretched to thin perfection. The marinara sauce is tangy and sweet and does not over power the pizza. I also find they put a smaller amount of cheese on their pizzas which I prefer because I find most pizzas too chewy. The coal oven does a good job of cooking everything just perfectly.

    *Update* Tony Saccos reached out to me based on my feedback that no Spinach or Feta was a deal breaker for me. They updated the menu based on feedback they had gotten and added Spinach and Feta. I gave the place another try and I must say I'm happy I did. I asked for my pizza crispy because I didn't like how it was cooked for my first visit. They delivered on all aspects. The pizza was perfect, crispy, and with Spinach and Feta. I talked to the owner while I ate, he seems very committed to quality which does show in their foods. He isn't cutting any corners if it sacrifices taste or quality. Which is great. *Initial Review* [I wanted a pizza with spinach and feta they didn't have either. The owner was pretty nice the service was good and the place looks really nice. The pizza was undercooked. It seems like they're trying to rush cooking to hurry and get you your food which is cool but you gotta make sure it's cooked first. I would have liked a crispier crust.]

    We did a carry out order for pizza with the bartender. My spouse is allergic to basil so I asked them not to put it on the pizza. As we waited, we observed waiters and waitresses standing around, shooting the breeze as the bartender rushed around the restaurant, delivering drinks to tables as well as taking orders at the bar. When we received our pizza, it had basil on it. The bartender said, "that's an easy fix" Then we watched them take our pizza back and pick the basil off of it. We were tired from waiting so long and had already paid for it so we just left, vowing never to come back. So if you have allergies or are particular about what you want on your pizza, don't come here.

    Great service, great pizza. Visiting from out of town, saw the yelp reviews, and decided to give it a try. Wasn't disappointed. Chad was very helpful and very attentive even though my order was to go, not dine in. I will definitely return. We ordered the Capo pizza and definitely very flavorful. The crust is awesome. Chad told me about what they are known for and invited me back. Try this place. You won't be disappointed.

    Tasty pies, ordered take away. Opened them up when home, still hot and full of toppings. Nice char on the crust and not overly greasy. The buffalo chicken was sliced thin and tender, not in unmanageable chunks. Staff seemed genuinely interested in my experience.     Came here with my husband last night. I had a living social deal, but had wanted to try this place since I heard they were opening a restaurant in Ann arbor. Service was outstanding. The had plenty of wait staff, bartenders, and pizza makers. We sat at the bar, but could see them make our pizza, which was a lot of fun. My husband and I split a large pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and green olives. I know it sounds odd, but it is my favorite. All of the pizzas come with fresh basil on top. I also ordered a small side salad. Their basic side salad comes with lettuce (romaine), tomatoes and onions. Only dressing options are Italian and Ranch. The salad was huge! I had some on Friday and had plenty to take home for dinner the next day. The pizza was great! Tasty sauce, crisp crust, lots of toppings. Excellent! The pizza's range in size from personal size to large.. The happy hour is great. It is from 2-6 and their house wines are only $2.50 and draft beers are are $1 off. A little on the pricey side, but worth the visit!!!!

    This was my first visit to this place and I was looking forward to a unique pizza experience. Sadly I was disappointed. Ordered a specialty pizza with Italian sausage, pepperoni, onion, mushrooms. There were a decent amount of toppings yet it was somehow bland. I even added everything they had to offer at the table - salt, red pepper, Parmesan... Still bland. Weird. Maybe not enough sauce? And as far as I could tell, the coal fire oven added nothing. I expected a crisp crust, but it was chewy. For almost $20 for a large pizza I just expected better. In all honesty I'd rather have a five dollar hot and ready. The staff was friendly though and we had good service. The happy hour drink prices were good too. But with so many choices for pizza around I doubt if I'll go back.

Best part is you don't have to fight for parking like other pizza places in Ann Arbor. I would recommend checking it out or even ordering carry out. You will not be disappointed!

    I actually really liked this place! The restaurant is pretty casual, and probably best suited to having some pizza and beer while you watch the game (there are a number of flat screens, all tuned to different football games). Decent draft beer list, and the pizza was good. There are some creative specialty pizzas on the menu, but I was here with my teenage brother, so we stuck to pepperoni, and it was solid. We started with the garlic knots, which were not as garlicky as I would prefer, but were pretty good. The caesar salad was delicious. I usually don't like croutons, but these were made of pizza dough, well-seasoned, and still a bit soft- yum! I wasn't paying, but the prices seemed pretty reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. The service was very food. We had a large party (10), and we all got drink refills quickly, they brought out pizza dough for the two small children to play with, and our server was very friendly. Compared to other restaurants in A2, this is about as good as it gets!

    Our server here tonight deserves one star. Didn't know any of the (6-7? Not too many) beers on tap, put in our order incorrectly and then blamed the kitchen, said we couldn't use a groupon because he didn't know how to punch it in, then insisted that, when we got our bill and it included an $18 glass of HOUSE wine (during happy hour, which should have been $2.50) that the price was correct. However, the manager/bartender at the time was very apologetic, took care of our groupon, then much more. He did a great job making up for this clueless jerk. However, I love the food (garlic rotolis and Greek pizza are amazing) and we have been here several times with good food and service, so we'll be sure to give them another chance.

    Stopped in for lunch and had the margarita pie. It had a nice chewy crust similar to pizza out east. This is the closest thing I have found in MI that resembles new haven Ct style of pizza. It was a nice surprise .

    I have been 3 times at this place, and there is an immense lack of consistency. I order the 3 times Margherita Pizza the first two times were ok, but the last one was complete fiasco. The pizza has lots of tomato sauce, but hardly any cheese. I complain about it and the critic was not well received. It is a shame that a new business is being handle this way.

    My husband and I actually pulled into the complex of this restaurant to go to the recreational store and we were planning on going to cpk for dinner. We saw that Tony Socco's was open and decided to give it a try. Turns out we had good timing because it was their opening night! We were greeted at the door instantly by very friendly staff. Our waiter, Philip, was extremely helpful in explaining the menu and how everything is cooked. He was very friendly and a great people person who made us feel very welcome. The atmosphere was warm, which was surprising for a brand new place. As for the main attraction-- delicious! We ordered the Caesar salad to start, which came with crunchy, homemade pizza crisps instead of croutons (nice touch). We each got a personal pizza that was the perfect size. The pizza was thin with a fluffy crust, the sauce had a nice zest and they had a huge variety of toppings. We also splurged and got the shortcake, which was SO good! It had a nice hint of orange and fresh berried on top. Overall, I would highly recommend this place! It was also family friendly!

    I did not eat pizza, but my dining partner did have the pizza that included ricotta cheese and meatballs. I had a chicken club sandwich. The service was actually wonderful. Friendly, prompt, and they noticed that after having a caprese salad app that we had to wait quite awhile for our main entrée. The manager came over and said that he would go check where our meals were right away. Overall I am giving 2 stars because the food is bland, bland and did I mention bland? We were both sprinkling parmesan cheese, hot pepper flakes, garlic powder and whatever was available at the table in order not to have such flavorless food. The chicken on the chicken club was not flavored, smoked nor had anything appealing done in order to make it tasty. The bacon was mashed into little bits and sprinkled on the sandwich. I ordered the side of pesto mayo and it really had no zing or flavor to it either. We agreed that this was a one time visit and nothing made us think we will be coming back any time soon. All of the servers and manager sure were friendly though, and the service was great. Even though the service was great can't hit a 3 star because for the food I would not give an A-Ok/ 3 star rating.

    To me, this is one of the best pizza places (if not the best) in the Ann Arbor area. Have been here a couple of times now and it's hardly ever busy. They have a nice bar with a happy hour every day and about 10-12 beers on tap. For a starter, I had their oven roasted wings, which was excellent (love the garlic that comes with it). For my pizza option I went with the capo (pepperoni, sausage, basil, garlic, etc) and that was also on point and great. I have also had their chicken Caesar wrap and that too is excellent. Overall this is simply the best coal oven pizza (which is the type of pizza served here) that I have ever had. If you want pizza in Ann Arbor, this is on the short list of places to have.

    Reasonably priced decent food and fast service! Ordered a half house salad to split - fresh simple salad. Sausage and peppers/onions app - decent but nothing special and would not order again. Ordered 2 personal pizzas (the Aloha and Marco Polo) for 3 people and it was plenty - pizzas were very good. Atmosphere is not great - feels like a fast/casual type restaurant with table service.
